Finish size
On the other hand, finish size refers to the final size of the tarpaulin after all sewing and hemming has been completed. When ordering a tarpaulin based on its finish size, the additional fabric required for seams and hems will have already been accounted for. So, if you order a 15′ x 12′ finish size tarpaulin, the completed product will be exactly that size. The material will start out larger, approximately 15’10” x 13’2″, but will ultimately be trimmed down to the specified finish size once all the sewing and hemming is done.
